Cops in South Africa have arrested 21-year-old school bully for allegedly stabbing another pupil for R2 and fighting a teacher in Nkuyandaba High School in Dwaarsloop, near Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga.
Pupils told Daily Sun the grade 12 pupil demanded R2 from a schoolmate aged 17.
One said: "The boy tried to keep his money, and they argued. He broke free and fled when the bully began to manhandle him. The bully pulled a knife and chased him."
But a brave teacher grabbed his hand. "The teacher wrestled the bully for the knife," said a pupil. Finally, the teacher disarmed him after a struggle. Cops bust the bully.
His victim was rushed to Mapulaneng Hospital, where he is recovering.
Lieutenant Ndlovukazi Mashele said police worry about pupil safety as some pupils take weapons to school.
Education Department spokesman Jasper Zwane said: "We have asked our regional office to look into the matter."
