A Gweru woman lost her front upper tooth after she was hit with a frozen chicken carcass by her tenant following a heated argument over sharing the house toilet.
According to witnesses, Ms Annah Chimhini had threatened to evict her tenant, Talent Nyathi after she challenged her for taking hours while bathing in the house's bathroom-cum toilet when she was then hit with a frozen chicken.
Police at Mtapa Police Station who attended to scene after Ms Chimhini made an assault report then arrested Nyathi.
Police spokesperson for Midlands province, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident which occurred on Saturday.
Inspector Mahoko could not give further details saying he was still gathering the facts.
A witness, Mr Waleb Tekere said Ms Chimhini was in the process of offloading Nyathi's chicken carcasses from her refrigerator when she was then struck with one of the solid carcasses.
"Nyathi had no refrigerator in her rented room and the chickens were being kept in Ms Chimhini's refrigerator.
"Ms Chimhini however acted out of anger following a spat with her tenant and offloaded Nyathi's chickens from her refrigerator while throwing them on the floor," said Mr Tekere.
He said it was during the process that Nyathi picked up one of her chicken carcasses and hit Ms Chimhini once of the mouth.
"Ms Chimhini lost a tooth in the process and bled profusely. She was then taken to Gweru provincial Hospital before she then made a police reported at Mtapa Police Station.
Ms Chimhini confirmed the matter yesterday but said she was still experiencing some pain when talking.
"I lost one of my teeth after being struck which a frozen chicken. I am still in pain and I think it's wiser for you to wait for me to heal so that we will talk into detail," he said.
