Morena Tholakae says a cruel sangoma (traditional healer) cheated him out of his happiness and now he feels suicidal.

Before the downward spiral, he sold his house and then the sangoma also told him that soon he was going to have R6,5 million!

But Morena's happiness soon turned to tears when he realised that he had been cheated.

His house was gone, he had lost R60000, and the promise that soon he would be a very wealthy man was a cruel and evil lie.

Morena (53) from Mulbarton, Johannesburg, told Daily Sun that he met Dr Dungu and Mama Good Luck when he went to talk to the sangoma about getting a job.

"Dr Dungu told me I was too old to get a job but I had a gift. He told me that millions were waiting for me," said Morena.

Morena said he told him that the house he had been sharing with his wife had been sold.

"I told Dr Dungu that the money had been deposited into my account," he said.

"All I could think of was getting another house for my wife and a Nissan Navara for myself," he said.

On Friday he went to the bank to withdraw R62000. He put R60000 in a grocery bag and took it to the sangoma.

The sangoma put the money and muthi in a bucket and told him to lie in it as if he was having a bath.

Then the sangoma sent him away and told him to buy a big bag to put his millions in and wait for two hours.

"When nothing happened, I phoned him, but he told me to relax and wait until the morning," said Morena.

The next morning he rushed to the sangoma's place and found that he was gone!

"I had to tell my wife that we didn't have a home any more and that we didn't have any money either," said Morena.

When Daily Sun spoke to his wife of eight years the very angry woman said Morena deserved what was happening to him.

"He did a very stupid thing and now we have nowhere to live!" she said.

Morena said he had nothing to live for any more.

"When I'm alone I think of nothing other than eating rat poison."
