A traditional healer from Matobo is allegedly refusing to unlock his client's fenced wife over an outstanding payment.

Tapiwa Moyo approached a traditionalist, Khulu Ziyabila in 2009 to have his wife, Petronella Moyo nee Sibanda locked through supernatural ways against adultery.

Tapiwa sought Ziyabila's help at a time when he was leaving the country for South Africa and was charged 1000 Rand.

However, it appears he only paid R500 before crossing the crocodile infested Limpopo River to fend for the family in South Africa.

He did not pay Ziyabila's money and did not bother to communicate his position until August when he returned home after being deported from the neighbouring country.

On arrival, Tapiwa tried to indulge with his wife but only to discover that she had lost interest in making love and he was also failing to perform.

"I interrogated her and she told me that her sexual feeling disappeared way back in 2009.

"I could not blame her but instead felt guilty of 'locking her'. I then remembered that I did not pay Khulu all his money," Tapiwa said.

He said after it dawned on him that his own security measure was now hindering him from indulging with his wife, he took R300 and headed to Matobo looking for Ziyabila.

"I managed to locate him but he was frothing with anger saying I took his ancestral spirits for granted by disappearing with part of his payment.

"I had hope that he will help my predicament but he insisted that the spirits wants their money in full," he said.

Petronella refused to talk about her ordeal.

In a telephone interview, Khulu Ziyabila said he is a registered traditionalist under the Zimbabwe National Traditional Healers Association and does not appreciate people who take his works in vain.

"I duly registered with ZINATHA. Now this man is soiling my name and also taking my work in vain. I don't appreciate that.

"Let me make this clear, I don't discuss anything to do with my clients with anyone. It is strictly private and confidential," he said before hanging his phone.
