Sophie Modise (59) from Magogogweni in Clermont, west of Durban, SA, found her son Kabelo Modise (31) after he had committed suicide by hanging in May.
He was buried on 18 May at Luganda Cemetery.
Sophie told Daily Sun: "I was starting to heal from the pain.
"But now people have started seeing my son on the streets."
She has apparently developed high blood pressure because of this.
"Why doesn't he just come home?" she asked.
Sophie was worried on the day of her son's funeral.
"It was as if the person in the coffin was not a real human being," said Sophie.
"We even skipped some of the rituals because we were scared and confused."
Kabelo left a message on his Facebook page that read: "If I die today there is only one n***** that should answer."
He had won an award as a young fashion designer in 2007.
Kabelo's younger sister, Nana Modise (22) said her brother may have been bewitched by a jealous designer who stole his underwear.
Chairman of Traditional Healers in eThekwini District, Thandonjani Hlongwane, said the Modise's should find a real inyanga who can apologise to the ancestors.
