Former employees at Zazise Communications, a company that was co-owned by the late broadcaster Vuyo Mbuli and his widow Savita Mbuli, are now accusing Mzwakhe Mbuli of conspiracy.
This comes after the staff members had taken Savita to the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) over salaries they claim she never bothered to pay after her Morning Live presenter hubby had died.
Sunday Sun claims that the staff members went to the CCMA on Wednesday, but received a hostile reception from the commission's officials.
One of the Mbulis' former staff members, who wished to remain anonymous, said CCMA officials laughed and ridiculed them.
"We arrived the CCMA, the officials started ridiculing us when we asked for their assistance. We were told that we had no respect for Savita and also her late husband.
"They told us that she was in mourning period and what we were doing was un-African.
"How could they say that while Savita fired us from our jobs?" said one of the former employees.
Another angry former employee said that she didn't understand why the CCMA officials were not willing to assist them, as it was their job to deal with labour disputes.
Apparently the angry staff were finally given a hearing, but Savita never pitched for the hearing.
"We thought that we were going to hear good news but things took a wrong turn when the commissioner told us that we should drop the case because there was no way in hell that we would win.
Another ex-worker said Mzwakhe was seen leaving the CCMA offices prior to their hearing.
She said: "Mzwakhe came here and spoke to the CCMA officials and we suspect he is colluding with Savita. He has a hand in this whole thing regarding our salaries. Savita must just pay us as we worked for that money," she said.
Mzwakhe told the Sun: "I don't have a twin brother or a look-alike. These allegations are untrue. I've never been there."
Please check with the security at CCMA," said Mzwakhe.
Savita's spokeswoman, Rowena, said: "Savita didn't get a notification to appear before the CCMA."
