BETHLEHEM - Palestinian police on Monday detained five people in Bethlehem accused of practicing witchcraft and sorcery.
The men were detained in Aida refugee camp after police raided a property following a complaint by a camp resident and his wife, who said the men were taking money from people in exchange for performing magic rituals.
Police said that one of the men arrested admitted to practicing witchcraft and claimed to be able to solve marital problems and cure medical diseases. They are likely to be charged with fraud.
Police called on residents to watch out for such people.
