Zimbabwean Lawyers of Human Rights have leveled accusations on the Zimbabwe Republic Police for police brutality when they arrested more than 105 protestors in Epworth and Mabvuku suburbs, sighting that there are video footage in their possession.
The protestors who were arrested for demonstrating against police roadblocks earlier this month, yesterday notified the court of their intention to bring video footage of police brutality during their arrest.
The protesters told the court that the video footage shows police brutality and torture at the time of their arrest.
Some members of the group complained that they faced torture after arrest.
Police have been accused of letting their dogs lose on already apprehended protestors.
The matter was remanded to August 30.
