Finance Minister, Patrick Chinamasa has revealed that the First Lady Grace Mugabe has a share of the Governments budget as she travels together with President Robert Mugabe.
Chinamasa was responding to the MDC-T Bulawayo South legislator Eddie Cross, who had inquired whether the First Lady’s recent tours of provinces were covered by the State.
The Finance Minister said the costs of travel of Grace Mugabe fell within the budget of the Office of the President.
Chinamasa sighted that the president at times delegates the First Lady on his behalf to do some tasks, hence the budget has to be inclusive of her.
In March this year, Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa defended the distribution of agricultural equipment by the First Lady, insisting there was nothing amiss in what she was doing.
