Border Patrol Cops Get Additional 40 Cars

POLICE have secured 40 more vehicles to intensify patrols along the country's borders following an increase in cross border crime.
said the government was making strides to tighten security at the country's borders.
The vehicles are being supplied by Zimra to fight smuggling, border jumping, cattle rustling, among other crimes.
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs,Obedingwa Mguni, said his recent visit to the country's borders had shown that the country's exit and entry points were insecure, hence the need for urgent intervention.
He said the vehicles were yet to be deployed to various police bases near border posts.
