Moses Mazibuko says he trusted his son to keep his pension money safe for him.
Now the 63-year-old pensioner says he is penniless and has no food in the house.
The premiums for his insurance policies and burial society are no longer being paid.
Moses, of Spruitview, east of Johannesburg retired last year as a truck driver with Toyota Forklift.
He said he asked his only son, Zizi Mazibuko (30), to keep his pension money for him in his bank account.
"I deposited R192 000 in Zizi's account in February last year.
"Now I regret it," said Moses. "I have to beg my son for money to buy food and petrol."
Moses claimed that Zizi wants him to go to his house for food. But his son lives a kilometre away.
"I have my own house where I want to eat with my wife," Moses said.
He said that he remarried 10 years after Zizi's mum died in 1994.
But Zizi never liked his stepmother, Girly Mazibuko (45).
"Zizi says my money can't be enjoyed by another woman – but this is my wife. He wants me to divorce her.
"When I wanted to extend my house and build a garage, Zizi asked why.
"I am begging him to bring back my money."
Zizi got aggressive when Daily Sun called him to ask for his side of the story.
"This is a family matter. If you come to my house I will beat you," Zizi reportedly said.
