Deportee raped by immigration official

Immigration official Brighton Mavhiya, 27, allegedly raped a border jumper who had been deported from South Africa.
The incident occurred at around 1 am on Monday at the International Organisation of Migration Reception and Support Centre.
The suspect had been deployed to IOM where he conducted screening of the illegal immigrants with other security agents.
Insp Ndebele said Mavhiya entered the woman’s room and raped her once and left.
The police spokesman for Matabeleland South Inspector Philisani Ndebele said the suspect Brighton Mavhiya was assisting police with investigations.
