Police discover improvised cannabis cannon

Police in the Mexican city of Mexicali have discovered an improvised device that fired cylinders packed with drugs that weighed as much as 13.6kg.
The powerful home-made launcher was used to fire packages of cannabis over the United States border.
The cannon was made of a plastic pipe and a crude metal tank that used compressed air from the engine of an old car.
It was confiscated last week after U.S. officers told their Mexican counterparts they had been finding large numbers of marijuana packets near the border fence.
Mexican police have recovered a series of similar devices in recent years.
