Late Reeva's family ask for privacy

PRETORIA - The family of the late South Africa model Reeva Steenkamp (in picture), who was gunned down by her boyfriend, Olympic and Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius on Valentine's Day have asked for privacy during what they said was "a very sad and traumatic time."

According to the statement released on Monday, the family fully understands the intense media interest in the story, but said they would not be speaking about the murder for the time being.
