Man caught with woman's head in plastic bag

South Africa - Phumeza Madikane (38) a mother of three was killed and her head cut off by a man who claimed the head would be used for 'muti' to make him rich.
The man had told the children to go to their room and Madikane was killed with a saw, an axe and three knives and her head put in a plastic bag.
Her butchered body was found by the eldest of her three kids, who had sneaked out of their room and found their mother in a pool of blood.
The boy (14) jumped out of a window of the house in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, and ran to call the cops at Daveyton Police Station.
When police arrived they found a man in the bathroom of the house with Phumeza's head wrapped in a plastic bag.
He was immediately arrested.
According to Captain Alfred Nakana of Daveyton Police Station, the man told cops he wanted the head for muthi "to make him rich".
The kids heard their mother begging for her life during the attack.
Phumeza was apparently first hit with an axe.
Cops said the body of Phumeza, who was a domestic worker, was taken to a government mortuary.
"The suspect will appear at the Benoni Magistrates Court on a murder charge on today," said Captain Nakana.
