The two Democratic Republic of Congo nationals who are in Remand Prison who confessed to be satanists say they are planning to open a devil worshipping church at Harare Central Remand Prison.
Ngezi Ngendo Braston and George Rene Longande were arrested in Manicaland last year after writing a letter to the Ministry of Justice seeking permission to open a satanic church at Tongogara Refugee Camp.
Braston appears surprised that Zimbabweans cannot tolerate different religions adding that there is nothing wrong with worshipping satan.
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Prison Services Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Elizabeth Banda said the institution is worried that these two will spread their satanic acts to other inmates.
Superintendent Banda however said the organisation has been trying to isolate the two from the rest of other inmates, while waiting for authorities to process deportation papers to their country of origin.
Although cases of satanism have been on the increase worldwide with some countries having centres for the devil worship, Zimbabwe does not recognise the religion and no such church has been registered.
