Zim Man rapes employer's daughter in revenge for failure to pay his salaries

A Zimbabwean immigrant, accused of raping his employer's 5-year-old daughter in revenge for his failure to pay his salaries on time, has been found guilty.
A fully packed Francistown court listened in stunned silence as the chief magistrate described lurid details of the sex attack. She told how the accused, Mbonisi Mpofu (22) used cooking oil to lubricate his penis and his victim's vagina after the girl complained of the intense pain.
The Zimbabwean man will spend up to 10-years in jail after a Francistown magistrates' court convicted him of raping a 5-year-old girl. Although Mbonisi Mpofu (22) of Bulawayo had denied charges of rape, Francistown Chief Magistrate Peggy Madandume found him guilty in delivering her judgment last week.
Mpofu apparently carried out the attack on his employer's daughter in revenge for the late payment of his wages. In her hour long judgment the magistrate related details of the assault carried out in November 2010 from statements the victim had given in a private hearing.
She told the packed court: "Children are susceptible to suggestions from those who could be leading them. I have taken that into consideration after the accused told the court in his defence that the relationship between him and his employer had strained."
The presiding officer however went on to say that the accused did not challenge the evidence led in court by the state witnesses. She related how the complainant had told the court that the accused person had sexual intercourse in the morning, and described how he, "went on her top and gyrated after inserting his manhood into her womanhood."
Madandume said the minor had described how the act was painful prompting the young girl to plead with him to remove his manhood. She told how Mpofu had apparently taken a bottle of cooking oil and lubricated his penis before smearing the oil into the young girl's vagina.
In finding him guilty of the charge the magistrate informed the court that a doctor, who examined the victim soon after the incident, had collaborated the complainant's evidence. Mpofu appeared unshaken as the magistrate concluded her judgment. He will be sentenced next week.
