There was pandemonium at Kuwadzana 5 Primary School on Wednesday morning when a small clay pot which contained a paper inscribed with names of some school staffers was discovered within the yard.
Fear and uncertainty gripped teachers and pupils at the school as it is believed to be works of juju.
Superstition took the best of everyone at the school after the clay pot was found with lessons coming to a stand still for a good two hours.
Inside the pot was a paper which had two names written on it.
Upon inquiry it emerged the names inscribed on the paper belonged to the school caretaker and one of the teachers.
It is not known who was responsible though indications are that it could be the battle for control of the school which might have turned nasty.
No comment could be obtained from the school authorities to explain the bizarre incident.
In a related incident, residents of Rutendo high density suburb in Redcliff were yesterday left shell shocked after a 12-year old girl confessed to engaging in witchcraft since she was five.
It is alleged that the girl was initiated into witchcraft by some of the elders in her rural village in Gokwe.
Reports from the police say the girl confessed that they would open graves and feast on human flesh and at times she would be sexually abused by men who had animal faces.
This came to light when a good samaritan had offered her a place to stay as she was now homeless staying in the streets.
One of the girl's uncles who tried to report the mater to the police is said to have mysteriously gone blind, while another lady who tried to rescue the young girl is said to have died under mysterious circumstances.
Of late, there has been an increase on reports of incidences of witchcraft and satanism in Zimbabwe.
