Toddler drowns in a bucket of water

A FILABUSI infant drowned in a bucket of water while playing alone, police Matabeleland South confirmed.
A one-year toddler was at her parents' home on Saturday.
Provincial spokesperson Inspector Tafanana Dzirutwe said the mother of the child, Simangaliso Wurayai left the now deceased baby, Panenyasha Zhou (1) with her five year-old daughter.
"The mother had visited a neighbour, Praiseworthy Mukoke," Dzirutwe said.
The two kids were playing and Panenyasha went inside the house without Praiseworthy noticing her. He went into a bucket full of water and drowned.
A report was made to the police and the body was taken to Filabusi District Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem.
Insp Dzirutwe urged parents not to leave their babies unattended.
