On Thursday, news surfaced that the romance between "The Cosby Show" actor and his girlfriend of two years had come to an end.
"He said he wasn't feeling it anymore," a source told Us Weekly.
Warner, 42, had reportedly asked King, also 42, and her young son from a previous marriage to move out of the house they shared.
"They knew each other forever and then out of nowhere he dumped her," the source said. "She's still confused and hurt and doesn't know what happened."
But on Friday, King piped up on Twitter, casting doubt on whether she and Warner were really on the outs.
"Hey everybody please don't believe everything you read," the star wrote. "Me and Malcolm-Jamal are good. Life happens. Forward motion. Godspeed."
It's unclear whether King meant to refute the story of the breakup entirely, or merely to reassure her fans that the split wasn't as hostile as previously reported.
King and Jamal have been close since the 1980s, when King starred on “227.” The two went public with their romance in 2011.
