THE queen of SA gospel Deborah Fraser opens up about her near death experience and says she has a new lease on life and she couldn’t be happier.
She’s lost a bit of weight and has cut off her dreadlocks.
'I don’t know how people linked us. We worked together years ago and again recently on a collaboration for my album but that’s it.' she said of the rumours of her upcoming wedding to Soul Brothers singer David Masondo in an interview with DRUM.
'Even though David called me about the report and we laughed about it, my partner didn’t like the gossip. Men get jealous and think there’s no smoke without fire. But we sorted it out.'
Deborah, who suffers from diabetes, the disease that killed her mom Catherine in 2009, is just happy and grateful to be alive after spending two weeks in hospital in January.
'I was really sick I thought I was going to die.'
