A passenger allegedly killed a driver of a vehicle he had boarded following a dispute over bus fare.
Liberty Mashatise ,27, of 15 Phase 1 Eastview, Caledonia, was brought before the courts facing murder charges.
It is alleged that Mashatise, along with three other friends refused to pay bus fare in a vehicle they had boarded resulting in a misunderstanding with the driver.
One of the four friends allegedly banged the car, which didn't go down well with the driver.
In the fight that ensued, Mashatise stoned the driver to death with a brick on the head.
He was denied bail and was told to approach the High Court for the application. He will be back in court on March 29.
