A female soldier's attempted to use her army skills to steal clothes at Meklies shop ended dismally when the latter was caught.
Michelle Chitekuteku,29, allegedly took a pair of ladies printed viscose slacks an infants's party dress and a knit top from the shop situated at Corner Leopold Takawira and Jason Moyo.
She then stuffed them in her ruck sack without paying.
She then attempted to leave the shop, but an alert security guard apprehended her and asked to search her bag.
This led to the recovery of clothes worth $78 that were stuffed in the bag
Chiteku pleaded guilty to charges of theft and was sentenced to either 60 days in jail or pay a $100 fine.
