Vengeful villagers want head-man’s dead

Matopo villagers of Silozwi village have vowed to exercise their vengeance on a village head who converted fertilizer meant for the people to his personal use.

Mandla Siziba, a headman in Matopo , is reportedly to have escaped the marauding crowd by the skin of his teeth when it attempted to exercise mob justice on him.

Adonija Ndlovu, a villager under the headman revealed at most anger and disappointment in the leader.

“What Siziba did is bad. He is a leader and should ensure that every individual gets his or her allocation,” said Ndlovu in a local tabloid.

Other villagers went on to threaten to torch the headman’s homestead to exert their vengeance.

Villagers went on to report the matter to chief Masuku, who confirmed the matter and stated that the councilor was doing the investigations.

“I received a report that one of my heads, Siziba misappropriated fertilizer meant for poor villagers. In the meantime the councilor is investigating the issue,” revealed chief Masuku to the weekly tabloid

Efforts to get hold of Siziba have been fruitless.
