Driver surfs on car roof after sliding into river

A driver found himself surfing the roof of his car after he slid off a snow-covered road and into a full-flowing river.
The motorist was driving near the town of Ruderatshofen in the Bavarian region of southern Germany when he swam into trouble.
With the car beginning to sink in the middle of the Wertach river, he managed to free himself from his seat and had to be rescued from the roof.
