6-year-old boy's eyes stolen by suspected organ traffickers

A six-year-old boy's eyes were removed after he was reportedly kidnapped by an organ trafficker in China.
Traumatised Binbin was found covered in blood around three hours after he vanished from outside his home in Fenzi, the northern province of Shanxi, on Monday.
The child's eyes were discovered nearby but the corneas were missing, implying an organ trafficker was behind the horrific attack.
Police have offered a 100,000 yuan, around £10,500, reward for information leading to the arrest of the sole suspect.
The female kidnapper apparently told the boy not to cry and that she would not remove his eyes.
The boy was drugged and lost consciousness before the attacker removed his eyes, state broadcaster China Central Television said.
The victim's dad said: "We didn't notice his eyes were gone when we discovered him. We thought he fell down from high and smashed his face.
Television reports in China showed the heavily-bandaged boy being taken from an operating theatre and placed in a hospital bed, writhing in agony as family members stood at his bedside weeping.
The illegal trade of organs in China is a growing problem, made worse by the 1.5million people on hospital waiting lists and low number of donors.
The gruesome assault is just the latest shocking evidence of the grim illicit organ trade in China.
Seven people were jailed last year when a teenager sold a kidney for an illicit transplant operation and used the proceeds to buy an iPhone and iPad.
Child organs are usually more expensive on the Chinese black market, an organ trafficker told Sina Internet news portal in 2010, as "most people think the younger the donor is, the better the quality of organs".
Organ trafficking was outlawed in China two years ago, but trade continues to boom particularly in kidneys.
The World Health Organisation said last year the issue was a growing problem globally, with big money to be made.
A spokesman said: "There is a growing need for transplants and big profits to be made. It's ever growing, it's a constant struggle. The stakes are so big, the profit that can be made so huge, that the temptation is out there."
The attack has caused outrage in China, with one user of Sina Weibo, the country's version of Twitter, writing: "This is extraordinarily vicious.
"How and why could someone be so cruel?"
