Two four-year-old boys sparked a full-scale police search - after pedalling more than four miles on their toy tractors.
Youngsters Max and Tobias were missing for five hours during their adventure in Bremen, Germany.
Happily, they eventually turned up safe and well - if a little exhausted - at the home of another friend's mum.
"She telephoned the boys' parents to let them know where they were. Everyone was very relieved," said a police spokesman.
The boys told how they'd had help on the way from two elderly women who'd given them apple juice.
"We spent five hours looking for the boys. We are pleased it was a happy ending," said police.
"I am surprised they managed to get so far on their peddle powered tractors. But they were safe and well but tired from their long trip.
"I am sure their parents will be keeping a close eye on the two young adventurers from now on."
