Rats found eating dead man

Rats were found feasting on the rotting flesh of a man who died alone in his shack only a week earlier.
A woman, who hadn't seen Johannes Jacobs for some days, went to his shack in Makhulugam settlement in Krugersdorp West, SA, on Sunday night.
Community leader Sebetso Moholo said 47-year-old Johannes was still dressed and covered with a blanket.
Johannes was popular around the area although he lived alone in the shack. He survived by recycling cans and plastic.
Sebetso said: "Every morning he would wake up to collect plastic. He was a hard worker
"We didn't know his relatives, so after finding the body we called the cops, who said there was nothing they could do because it was not a crime scene and they advised us to call the mortuary.
"However, we did manage to find a sister by the name of Elizabeth and another relative who works as a gardener at one of the local schools on the West Rand.
"We are now sorted and the body was taken to the mortuary."
