Teachers at Madabu primary school in Manzamnyama, Zimbabwe are reportedly having sleepless nights because of menacing goblins.
A source said teachers are considering deserting the school but villagers have intervened and are making contributions in cash to cleanse the school with the help of Wafawafa.
"Teachers had a torrid time the whole of last year. Goblins were nagging them every night and female teachers were even claiming that they are being sexually abused.
"Some of them wanted to leave but they could not get transfer confirmation. The situation continued until this year and villagers have now resolved to take the matters to their hands. They seem determined to cleanse the goblins out of the school," said a source from the school.
The matter was reported to Headman Ngwizi who then summoned kraal heads to a meeting and advised them to engage their subjects and map the way forward.
The source said kraal heads from around the area then agreed with their subjects to contribute towards salvaging the future of their kids.
It is said that parents with children who attend school at Madabu primary have been asked by Wafawafa to contribute R20 each towards the cleansing.
The money is meant to pay Wafawafa and also buy fuel to transport them to and from their base.
The source added; "The money has been collected. What is left now is for a date for cleansing to be set."
