A woman gave birth at a fast food outlet in the Durban CBD, South Africa on Monday afternoon, said emergency workers.
She was buying food when she felt she was going into labour, said ER24 spokesman Derrick Banks.
"She thought she had enough time to get to the hospital, but the contractions were too close," he said.
Paramedics delivered her baby girl in the shop. The baby was healthy, said Banks.
Mother and daughter were taken to a nearby hospital.
