An Indian daredevil who tried to cross a rope bridge on a zip-wire attached to his ponytail has died.
Sailendra Nath Roy was attempting a Guinness world record attempt by travelling 180m (600ft) across the Teesta river in West Bengal state when he suffered a massive heart attack.
The 50-year-old's hair became trapped in the zip-line earlier in the attempt, but he managed to carry on 20m (70ft) above the ground.
Spectators had initially failed to realise Mr Roy was in trouble because of the cheers coming from the crowd, onlookers said.
Mr Roy, who worked as a police driver, was left dangling on the Coronation Bridge for 45 minutes before officers could retrieve his body.
He was taken to hospital but pronounced dead on arrival. Doctors said he had suffered 'a massive heart attack'.
Mr Roy held several world records for pulling vehicles with his hair.
He attracted global attention when he dragged a 42-tonne train for 2.5metres (8ft) last year.
In March 2011, he travelled 82m (270ft) on a zip wire, which he was attached to by his hair.
Siliguri police commissioner K Jairaman said Roy had not acquired the necessary permission for the stunt, adding that Roy was not on duty at the time of his death.
