Microsoft Corp co-founder and chairman Bill Gates spoke out on Wednesday night about the controversial gay ban in the Boy Scouts of America.
The philanthropist said that it was time for homosexual scouts to be allowed in the Boy Scouts "because its 2013."
Gates said this when he was asked about his thoughts on the gay ban in the Scouts. Without hesitation, Gates said that the ban should "absolutely" be ended.
When asked to explain why, Gates simply said: "Because it's 2013."
Gates said as a Boy Scout he learned: "How to tie knots. How to weave baskets. How to hike long distances without complaining too much."
