Violence erupted in Mabeskraal Village outside Rustenburg, North West, SA, in protest against a spate of killings in the area recently.
Since December last year, four people in the village have disappeared and were later found dead, their bodies mutilated.
Kgosi Molopyane Mabe called an urgent meeting to discuss the apparent muthi (herbal) killings.
The meeting, which took place in the village then turned violent as people got angry.
At the meeting, Mabe pleaded with sangomas and priests in the area to help find out what’s behind the killings.
