Man caught at midnight with no clothes on, praying for money

A man from Bulawayo's Old Pumula suburb was caught with no clothes on in the middle of Saturday night praying for a stash of notes.
The man from Zimbabwe only identified as Vashe was caught by his neighbours when they heard him praying on top of his voice at midnight.
Residents started speculating the man was either a Satanist or a wizard.
Vashe denied practicing either Satanism or wizardry but confirmed in a telephone interview that that he was caught by his neighbours performing some self enriching ritual.
"I am not a Satanist, neither am I a wizard. These people just caught me performing me some self enriching ritual as per my traditional healer's advice.
"I had $6000 and I was praying for it so that after doing my intended transaction, the money vanishes and come back to me," he revealed.
Vashe's neighbour, Yeukai Chihota said he woke up to his neighbour's unusual and strange behaviour on Saturday night.
"He was praying so loud that we were awakened by his voice. We could not hear most of what he was saying but we could hear him saying burn money, burn money.
"When we went outside to check what was going on, we found Vashe kneeling next to a stash of US dollar notes," Chihota said.
It is said that Vashe who appeared to be in a trance during the prayer, gained consciousness when neighbours had gathered around his fence.
Chihota revealed that some people who were part of the crowd wanted to mete instant justice on the man but they later resolved to hand him over to the police.
Vashe confirmed being taken to the police but said there was no charge against him as there is no law barring people from praying in their homes with no clothes on in the middle of the night.
