Big Brother contestant given warning after saying she wouldn't date black men

Big Brother's Jemima Slade has been issued with a 'formal warning' after a row with Gina Rio that erupted after the socialite told other housemates that she may have "just experienced racism".
In scenes set to be broadcast on Channel 5 tonight, fake housemate Michael asks dating website entrepreneur Jemima about her 'type' when it comes to dating.
"I go for darker looking, not black, but darker features, Mediterranean. I wouldn't generally go for a black guy," the 41-year-old explains.
She continues: "I like darker guys, but not black guys. Wouldn't really go for Chinese. I like mixed race."
Moments later, Gina asks Jemima for a chat in the bedroom and, after relaying the previous conversation to the rest of the group, tells Jemima that she felt offended by her earlier comments.
"Just the way you said 'I don't like black men', it's the way you said it. I didn't like it and I felt a certain way and I felt very very offended and I can't help the way I feel," says Gina.
Jemima, however, protests that what she was reported to have said was not accurate.
"I didn't say I didn't like black men," says the mum-of-one.
"I've got loads of black friends. I wouldn't go for a Chinese guy, generally that's my taste, you probably wouldn't go for a white guy."
Jobless Gina, who lives off a £10k allowance from her parents, then takes issue with Jemima's assumptions about her dating preferences before the whole discussion descends into a slanging match.
The 24-year-old says: "Why would you say that? How would you know that I haven't been out with a white guy? Just because I'm black why would you assume?"
Jemima replies: "You're turning it into a racial thing, that's why you've got an issue with it. You're paranoid. You had a fight on the first night.
"That didn't include you, that's none of your business," fires back Gina.
